Swami Sarvatmanada's visit to Mauritius and South African centers

Swami Sarvatmanadaji, along with a devotee, visited Mauritius and South African Ramakrishna societies during Dec' 1-18, 2012. From Dec' 1-7, Swamiji visited Mauritius center. There, he gave two lectures and interacted with the devotees. From Dec' 8-18, Swamiji visited South Afrcian center. After giving a lecture at the head quarters at Durban, he toured Pietermaritzburg, Estcourt, Ladysmith, Glenco, Dundee, Newcastle, Chatsworth and Phoenix giving eight lectures in total.

Swami Sarvatmananda stays at RVVN.

Because Belur Math has not decided on who is going to come to Netherlands, Swami Sarvatmananda has been asked to stay back. He will however be travelling to India(Kolkata) from 19th Jan to 1st February, 2013. We shall keep you updated of any further news.

Holy Mother's Puja: This saturday (5th January,2013) Holy Mother's Birthday will be celebrated at the vedanta center. All are welcome. The puja will begin at 10:00 am followed by Prasad.

Swami Sarvatmananda's return back to India.

A very important Announcement: Swami Sarvatmananda of RVVN will be returning back to Belur Math. He will be leaving on 19th January. Belur Math authorities will decide on who is going to take over the center activities. We are going to arrange a get together so that we can bid Swamiji a farewell. We are deeply pained at Swamiji's departure and will fondly remember him for what he has done for all of us who have been fortunate to be associated with him in the last 12 years of his stay in Netherlands. The date and time of the get together will be communicated on this blog.

A spritual retreat will be held on Sunday the 18th November. Swami Vivekananda and the west: The subject will be discussed in English followed by dutch translation. A simple lunch and tea/coffee will be provided .As usual the retreat is free of charges; voluntary contributions are welcome. The willing participants are requested to inform the centrum by 11th November to facilitate arrangements.

Cover for Quarterly Vedanta Magazine

Dear Members and well wishers. In followup of the nice logo competition which was won by Tridib, he has kindly voluntered to do the cover for Vedanta Magazine. We wish Tridib all the best for the magazine and if anyone volunteers to help out in this venture it would be most welcome.

We are also planning to set up a webshop for the vedanta center Netherlands. If anyone has any experience in setting up such a webshop his help / advice would be most welcome.
